A Phase III clinical trial (last phase prior to FDA review) evaluating the investigative chemotherapy agent Myocet (liposomal encapsulated doxorubicin) in addition to standard therapy for HER2-positive breast cancer is now enrolling patients.
Researchers are now enrolling patients with metastatic, HER2-positive breast cancer to further evaluate the effectiveness of Myocet. This trial will be directly comparing a standard treatment option consisting of trastuzumab plus paclitaxel to the combination of Myocet plus trazumab and paclitaxel as initial therapy for metastatic breast cancer. The goal of the trial is to determine if the addition of Myocet to standard therapy can improve anticancer responses among these patients.
